For every-day activities, I find make-up absolutely unnecessary (yeah, even light make-up). For wedding and other big parties, make-up might be nice (heavy or light, doesn't matter at that case).
But the make-up in question that's in the above video - na, I think it would look good only on brides.
Make-up on a daily basis, especially heavy one, destroys the skin/face.

I agree with you, (Saleem) Saifullah. Heavy makeup is on a woman is the biggest turn off for me. It reeks of unsophistication and jaahilness in general. If a very young girl paints her face up like a clown, it's understandable because she might be over-compensating for her lack of femininity but when a grown woman (17+) does it, it looks awful and disgusting.
I also hate red lipstick and the all other bright colors some women put on their faces. I'm not saying women shouldn't wear makeup at all, that's the other extreme. Elegance and grace lie only in simplicity.Last edited by Levanaye Zalmaye; 07-26-2010, 09:51 AM."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

i guess it depends on the occassion and how it is worn, in terms of the extent. If your wearing make up ( i mean in weddings) then you atleast want it to be noticed, so that you look different (i dont mean cake your face, where it looks plastered), but make up can look sophisticated. I have seen people wear foundation that doesnt match their skin tone and that looks weird. I agree that for usual everyday make up the above make up in the video is heavy, but i guess they see it as the norm. But light or minimal make up enhances your look, even though i do agree make up beauty is artificial. Eyeliner is a must have though, lol
