I disagree. I have a cousin who is barely 15 and has white hair all over her head; most of it is black and there are white bunches of hair every here and there. Ever since she was a little kid, her mom died her hair with Henna/Nakreeze because it's just not beautiful, you know?
Same with my best friend, whenever she's under stress, she grows white hair.. if such people color white hair (which is a sign of aging and doesn't fit with their actual age 15/19) then it's not to impress men. It's to look normal. You don't see too many 12-year old girls with gray hair..
And as for the Pashtuns dieing their hair blond.. I think it looks fine with some. It looks fine with those who naturally have light brown hair.. Any change more than 2-3 shades from your natural color looks .. well.. unnatural :D
I've never died my hair.. and I don't plan on doing it. I have pitch black hair so for one, I don't have many options.. and two, I really like my hair color.. people always ask whether its my real hair color because its "soo dark"

people from everywhere dye their hair in all sorts of colors. i don't know why it warrants a discussion, people can do whatever they want with their hair
if you know anything about women, you know they dye their hair and change their clothes as a form of entertainment

what a breathtaking insight! thank you for enlightening us with this factoid!
Originally posted by KandaharyI like woman with blonde hair. Many pashtun women naturally have blonde hair.
don't be stupid, most Afghans, Pashtun or otherwise have dark hair

You know, Perozey, I don't know why people dye their hair when it gets gray. What are they trying to convey - that they don't wanna get old? Or that they don't wanna "appear" old? But why? If we should be grateful for what we have naturally (I believe in this idea as well), then why not even with gray hair? Isn't gray hair a part of the aging process?Originally posted by Feroza_Banu View Posti am really against this whole coloring thing... just stick to ur own until u start having gray hair...
Good that you don't do this more often. It's terribly unhealthy for the hair, this whole straightening and curling. I love, love, LOVE curly hair, though, but I have to fight every temptation to curl mine 'cause I don't wanna destroy what I have.Originally posted by Feroza_Banu View Postthe only thing i do to my hair is sometimes use flat iron or curl it. that is sometimes!
It really sucks 'cause I'm not fond of straight hair!

The other day I spotted my first gray hair and I was on cloud nine. Now finally people can start taking me seriously

Za maaree...people spend so much money and waste a lot of time on hair straightening. You should make make others enviousOriginally posted by Qrratugai View PostGood that you don't do this more often. ..Mine are curly like curly fries, lolz..I would never straighten them since straightening denatures the keratin (protein)--the major biomolecular component of the hair.It is important to repair and protect the hair before straightening it.
