i guess you have no clue how afghan clothes look like.

the shirt girl wearing has nothing to do with afghan clothing, it could be from anywhere.

^ I apologize, but if you think any random image you pull up on google represents all Afghan clothes, you are mistaken. I suppose you are the one not too familiar. Because anyone with a clue will know that the embroidery and stitching pattern (i.e. the tatar and lamand) in the first picture is unique only in Afghan clothes and a common style especially amongst Kandaharis who engage in a lot of embroidery. Either you really have little clue or you're just trying to be a smart aleck.

Joey, here is an interesting clip from islam empire of faith by PBS.

Start at 39 minutes where it shows how the famous renaissance painters had no idea that they were painting "La illaha illullah ..." onto the Virgin Mary's veils in their work as they would get the finest cloth from the Eastern empires.:

These empires have exchanged ideas for centuries in the arts and sciences.

More recently, I was sent this by a work colleague (this is her favorite band)... the current exchange of ideas is impacting the clothing wear of the empire even now:

These are Kochyaan style dresses and the colleague wanted to know where she could buy them... they have no idea how they are worn in our area.
