Nakreeze is the Pakhto word for Henna. The word Henna is understood more by people of the West. Henna is a leaf used by people of the East as a beautifying product and has various uses, some of which are hair dying, soothing feet and hands, reducing acne/applying to the face, and the most famous and common - a natural form of body art - often used in occasions. You've voted that you like it. I found that funny.

Dukemina, this thread is for you.

      Welcome AfghanPrincess. Nice name

Oh and James, just so that I don't confuse you more than I may already have, that leaf is grind into powder, which is then stirred up into a paste, which makes applying easier. Missed that point, totally.

I like Nakreeze, especially for occasions: Eid, naway kal, weddings,etc....it looks perfect with our traditional clothes.

Men back home put it in their hair and beards...notice some of the attan dancers with light hair color, thats why. But i dont know why they do it, i dont like it, doesnt look good.

I've always loved nakreezi, as Missy said, it's perfect for weddings and Eid, the two aren't the same without it.

I like nakreezee sometimes, but I don't really like how it stains your hands for like weeks, and so when you wear clothes that don't go well with it, you can't do anything about it. It looks good on others, just not me.
