the hell do you need a patu for in abroad?? indoors you can use a blanket or just turn up the heat and outside--well it's very unlikely that you would walk outside with a patu on.

There's a few kandahar sellers on ebay they all sell pure lamb wool patu.

I bought one from zarinas a long time ago, but I wasn't very happy with the quality to be honest... try ebay as others have said

if you (your friend, relative) are in UAE now or near future you can buy a good patu here.
every winter there is a market/melai in dubai called 'global village' where you find areas representing differnet countries. the areas representing pakistan and afghanistan have, of course carpets, pakols, patus, rings, traditional jewelry, more carpets, toshaks/korbache, kali, etc

the patus from pakistan (swat) are actually quite good quality, woolen most expensive at afghani 3500/-, wool mix patu about afg 2800/- ok expensive but these are exported prices. dark colours, light colours. nice.
