I like the Mandarin style collar, all of the ones I have use this style collar...Originally posted by Zmarak View PostMine have all been altered to fall exactly at the knees. If it goes too far below the knees it look strange. So do you prefer collar or without collar?

I've never tried one without the collar... does it make much of a difference?
I like the thobe collar, stand up with the 2 buttons at the top on the collar, I'd like to see a kameez like that

Not really, I'm not sure but I think it's just regional preference/culture. The ones without the collar are popular around Qalat and most of Zabul region and I've seen lots of people in villages outside Kandahar wearing that style, not sure where else they're popular.Originally posted by Elsii View PostI've never tried one without the collar... does it make much of a difference?

kodamani (collarless neck and side buttoning), slightly long square cut khat below knees,
and kandahari without collar and embroidered front, usually khat is just below knee and round cut
definitely kabul, zabul favourites as zmarak said.
mazar style is shorter khat.
