I absolutely love red henna.....the thick color lasts longer and it stands out more.

    I love these designs:

The Henna Page is a great starting point for those looking for different designs and techniques. Several Ebooks chock full of patters and methods are available free for download.

Have you ever put it on and your design got messed up so you just rubbed your hands together for the orange hand look?

Whilst drying what do you do with your hands? Do you cover them?

Does the excitement of washing off finally lead to ultimate disappointment when the result is utterly crap?

LOL i think this happened to me when i was like 10........i had henna on for the first time for Eid, i was too excited, eager, and impatient......it turned out bad It had this huge ugly smudge

Over the years i got pretty patient with it.....considering I leave the henna overnight. After the paste is dry, i put on latex gloves right before i go to sleep. But before hand i put a little bit of lemon on it....makes the color stay longer.

i am not sure about henna anymore, the color doesn't come out so uniform as it appears when you have the actual henna out. once you remove it, its orange somewhere, and red somewhere, and maroon somewhere. that really makes me upset

Yeah, but i also think it has a lot to do with the quality of the henna tube. In the US some of the Indian stores have really bad henna quality. Its this orange color, not even close to being a reddish one, less appealing.

All the design are just wonderful. The good thing about these design is that you can make it look good with just about any way you go, from loops and swirls to flower patterns and even simple line designing.Choose a design you like or favor and ask for second opinions to help make a decision. Choose one that you feel is attractive as you need to wear it regularly.
