I mean to say improvising our afghan clothes to make them more beautiful, wearable in all occasions... u can't tell me we don't need to work improve our clothing?Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postthere is nothing modest about flaunting you beauty on stage......
why would we want "designer clothes" in Afghanistan?
& afghan clothes already are beautiful, i dont know what you're talking about
i have seen some indian and even western fashion shows that designer has been influenced by Afghan clothes. the clothes turn out to be so beautiful, covered and casual... we just have to work towards making Afghan clothes more of a norm, rather than worn only during attan in weddings... u know what i mean

you mean to say what the status of afghan clothes is right now, is fine? meaning it is fine if it is not worn by Afghans?Originally posted by -Gulalai View Post....................someone go call Angaar lala right now

who wears them other than brides on their wedding night for an hour before they change to the white gown.
or girls wear them if they are about to do attan in the wedding.
i have yet to see anyone wear 'gird laman' afghan clothes to melmastia, or casual get togethers.
i think we need to design it so that it has different types for all occasions.
even long shirts that can be worn over pants for working class women, so that all what afghans wear in all occasions would be only afghan clothes!.

When the hell has Fashion shows or women wearing stylish clothes got to do with White people? There are some Jahil people on this forum who still believe homosexuality was invented by White Europeans.
The Arabs/Jews brought this Desert/Semitic Culture to the East and West, I am sure Pashtun women never walked in Shuttlecock burqas before the Arabs and Turks arrived to enslave them.
If a respectible Pashtun women wants to dress nicely infront of a crowd in a respectible manner, then what is the problem? if you care for these girls or Pashtun women, then grap your placard and protest on the 1000s of cases of abuse to our Pakhtana by our own people, the selling of Pashtun girls to older men especially Punjabi/Indian Mojjahir men, dont act as if it doesnt happen, Swat was full of Markets where young girls were sold to retired Pak generals, everybody knows this.
Times are changing, women are leading men, women are more devoted to education then men, women should no longer be subjected to harsh restricitions. However, I say this in moderation, I do not support a "bikini culture".
However, neither do I support a Burqa Arab Pagan dress culture, Dress in traditional Pashtun clothes, is a better option, but lets respect our Pashtun sisters and not treat them as objects.
@Mazerah I am sure you would be the last person for a Sane Women to ask about Morals and how to Dress.
