  • Jewellery, its kinds and your preferences

Jewellery browsing is quite exciting, and I am sure, it doesn't come as a surprise, I'm a woman. Be it any accessory you beautify yourself with, show us your preference.

I'll start with these, a huge photo I know, but then, it has a lot of detail too that can't be seen otherwise.

    ^oh thats so pretty!...

I love love love jewellery... and in jewellery i love bangles and earrings... i am not much of a necklace or ring person, but earrings and bangles, i can't stop buying.

here is a pic just as an illustration of type of bangles i like....

and earrings, from simple ones to really fancy ones.

all depends on what i am wearing

Same, earrings and bangles I have so many pairs, and seeing your pictures, seems like we have very similar taste. Those pink ones are so beautiful. And the bangles too. What I like about those kinda sets is that you can split them up and wear one or two of the big ones with an outfit that needs less jewellery and it works perfectly well.

Ah the pink ones, they're too nice.

^yeah, i do the same. i mix and match bangles... or use a fewer ones with some outfits and few more with some other...

I really like the pink ones too

Ok i like some gold jewellery too, if they are made in a unique style. and gold bangles too... something like this

but these ones cost a lot to make (high labor charge) and the parts that are not gold, are sold as gold,... so u end up loosing a lot of money... but if i were very rich, i would buy them haha

I like the green earrings that gulbabo posted but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of jewelery at all. I only wear very simple earrings and a silver ring - never any bracelets, bangles, necklaces, other decorative jewelery.

I was going to say too that those pink ones are the general type I like.

I think something religious MUSt be worn around the neck and everything
                else is tacky and frivolous.

But nice earrings and a few gold bangles, not a whole bunch like the picture,
look pretty and in good taste.

You all don't wear lapis lazuli jewelry at all?
I have some lapis intricate long earrings which kind Afghans gave as gifts -
but they were lost til recently due to moving.

SGulab: The biggest hoops I have probably fit perfectly around a roll of tissue. I've never worn them though, like many of my other pairs, which reminds me, like your mother, mine too always asks what I'm planning to do with all of it. But then, at the same time, she tells me to 'dress up' most of the time, so she knows I am putting it to use. Funnily, yesterday she looks at me and says: Your nails aren't long, nail polish doesn't look good on short nails. I am like: Mum, one, you don't like long nails, and two, I can't always paint my nails. Mothers, they're unpredictable sometimes.

I have so many of those stones at home, they're waiting to be taken to some jewelers and put into a nice design, preferably with silver. They're probably the only 'antique' looking piece I like.
