What would life be without a samawar in Afghanistan..specially the icey cold winters of kabul.
A samawar is a portable ( damn, we have everything portable!) boiler.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

I would like to know the sites approximately
Traditionally, Afghan/Pashtun turbans were to be 9 yards. Back then turbans were made in Herat or imported from Iran. Pakistani city Multan is also known for its turban production and is currently dominating the Afghan and Pashtunkhwa market. For the past 30 years or so, Pashtuns have relied heavily on Multani product which puts the length around 4 yards.

            Thank You a ot!
) Yard is quiet a lot(arround 8 meters..).May be that the Baloch use those long ones? As on the pictures they look very long and also the way of binding is interesting.
How many ways of binding use Pashtuns?

                Its always 3 meters exactly.

Having observed South Western provinces of Afg and southern Pashtunkhwa (Quetta and the surroundings), i can tell each tribe has a different style of binding their turbans, it may also differ due to its location. For instance, my tribe in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar has its signature style of turban while the same tribesmen in Maiwand, Zharrai and Panjwayi district will have somehow different style. Other tribes in Kandahar have their own styles, also distinguished by location. Southern Pashtunkhwa can be accounted for in a similar manner.

I personally like the Popalzai binding style in Kandahar. I just feel it has an elegant look.

Does exist some literature or at least photoalbum with the distinctions?
