Well it depends. Jeans, sweat pants and other long pants can be considered middle. If the pants are tight, then it's consideredOriginally posted by Laila View Post^ what is considered as the middle?
. Middle will be somewhat baggy. Same goes for the upper body. The tighter=
, somewhat baggy is in the middle.
I'm just trying to look out for the sisters.

i just came from an arab restaurant and my god, the stuff some of these arab girls wear make the white girls look like angles, i mean they might be wearing hijab, but then at the same time have tightest clothing ever, revealing pretty much every thing.

Vrora jan, in Spartan society, women would walk naked and men wouldnt dare to touch nor even stare at them,I heard in Kalash society,a woman has more than one husband, some even have three husbands at once, its the way society perceives womenfolk, in our society, our disregard to women is very obvious, no matter how much we hide it under the so called "In Islam we respect female folk" one only has to compare both societies with the more sophisticated west, and you will see the big difference.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostYou mean we're all the products of an incestuous family?
astaghfirallah
A woman is free to wear whatever she wants given that whatever she wears is acceptable by the society she lives in. If a woman wears a skirt in New York, no one will notice her. If a woman wears one in Peshawar, she will cause a scandal. Similarly, a burkha-clad woman in Monaco will cause a scandal. People well-acquainted with Western culture will not necessarily find skirts sexually provocative as opposed to people who have grown up in Saudi Arabia, who will find a girl's hands and face sexually provocative. Lindsey Lohan is okay with her miniskirts but according to our culture, they're not "normal".
Since you're not a Pashtun, you should know a thing or two about our culture when you interact with us here. You cannot even mention a Pashtun's sisters or the female members of his family when you're talking to him. We find it very rude and inconsiderate.
There were/are people in the world who live stark naked. They don't find nudity offensive because they do not view the human body as an object of sex. They were the Abrahamic absolutists who went around the world and taught people that they should be ashamed and feel "shame". It's ironic though because clothing was only adopted by our ancestors to shield them from the weather. In any case, that's another discussion altogether. And no, I'm not promoting nudity lol..
Arab women are the most illiterate due to this, and people ignore it and avoid it.
Wearing a burqa does not prevent men seeing women as objects of Lust. Burqa is a oppressive garment and just like France, should be banned in all Pashtun regions, through education, this Burqa would be thrown or used for other purposes such as a rain coat or a umbrella.

This is the main thing, in our society, if a man wears a tank top in Bannu/Kandahar he is attracted by men, and thats a fact, nobody can deny it, but when a woman wears a skirt, she is insulted or seen as a bad omen.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostTo even suggest that as a joke is low and disgusting.
By the way, serious question, are you a Pashtun? If so, where are you from? And do you speak Pashto?
To be honest, I think this gender segregation should be abolished, Pashtun men and women should be allowed to have relationships, not only does it become benefitical in regards to our low population size, but it will prevent the ill parts of society from arising such as male rape, bacha bazi/Wurkibazzi, and closet homosexuality.
Male and female need to be respected and seen as equals, and the law should support this, none of this three females equal one male witness non sense.
They say, the Saka people who happened to be Pashtuns, pre-Islamically, use to go to battle together, both male and female were equals in war, this shows our laws and the way we seen females were much different than what we see now.

If a man is doing something wrong it does not mean woman should also start the same... What is needed is to stick to our culture where segregation is the first basic thing. Those who want intermingling of men and women actually want to destroy our family and our society that we have seen in the west.
You people are too much impressed with the western societies. You don't care about Pashtoon values.

lack of self respectOriginally posted by Laila View PostI have always wondered, dont Muslim girls (not just Pashtuns) feel uncomfortable wearing a miniskirt? or any other immodest clothing? I myself would feel so uncomfortable that i know in the back of my mind should not be exposed. Dont you kind of wonder who you are exposing yourself to, mind the strangers, but what about your father? uncle? brother? grandfather? Wouldnt one think, my goodness! my father just saw my legs! The actions of people make me wonder sometimes.
