To even suggest that as a joke is low and disgusting.Originally posted by Alchemistput your sister's picture in a mini skirt ...
the title is pushtun girls after all
;
By the way, serious question, are you a Pashtun? If so, where are you from? And do you speak Pashto?"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

thats the difference between muslims and non muslims, non muslims don't care about their own. any self respecting american christian would of burned down mtv hq years ago, but we know there is no such thing as a self respecting american christian.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I have always wondered, dont Muslim girls (not just Pashtuns) feel uncomfortable wearing a miniskirt? or any other immodest clothing? I myself would feel so uncomfortable that i know in the back of my mind should not be exposed. Dont you kind of wonder who you are exposing yourself to, mind the strangers, but what about your father? uncle? brother? grandfather? Wouldnt one think, my goodness! my father just saw my legs! The actions of people make me wonder sometimes.

I went to a wedding shop a few months ago, in dire need to find a dress with sleeves on it (seemed impossible). And i came upon this one shop. I was so surprised and asked the lady that why do these dresses have long sleeves? She looked at me and laughed, she replied 'well us mormans wear modest clothing.' i was so shocked that a shop in America was selling beautiful dresses with full sleeves.

A woman is free to wear whatever she wants given that whatever she wears is acceptable by the society she lives in. If a woman wears a skirt in New York, no one will notice her. If a woman wears one in Peshawar, she will cause a scandal. Similarly, a burkha-clad woman in Monaco will cause a scandal. People well-acquainted with Western culture will not necessarily find skirts sexually provocative as opposed to people who have grown up in Saudi Arabia, who will find a girl's hands and face sexually provocative. Lindsey Lohan is okay with her miniskirts but according to our culture, they're not "normal".
Since you're not a Pashtun, you should know a thing or two about our culture when you interact with us here. You cannot even mention a Pashtun's sisters or the female members of his family when you're talking to him. We find it very rude and inconsiderate.

There were/are people in the world who live stark naked. They don't find nudity offensive because they do not view the human body as an object of sex. They were the Abrahamic absolutists who went around the world and taught people that they should be ashamed and feel "shame". It's ironic though because clothing was only adopted by our ancestors to shield them from the weather. In any case, that's another discussion altogether. And no, I'm not promoting nudity lol..Last edited by Levanaye Zalmaye; 09-30-2011, 04:31 AM."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

It's so true, I have a friend who was celebrating her walima and wanted a western style wedding dress that was more modest, even though she was just going to be around women. They were surprisingly simple and elegant. They have these "temple dresses" that totally look like togas too.Originally posted by Laila View Post

Well I don't wear the hijab, but I do not dress indecently. I have nothing against women whom choose to wear mini skirts. By the end of the day, only God can judge which one of us is the most pious. I beg to differ. I don't see what clothing has to do with one's ethnicity. This thread should be closed because it is illogical.Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postpashtanas don't wear mini skirts. end of thread (:True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us. - Socrates
