I am not very impressed with Nazia Iqbal. I find some superficiality about her style. Nevertheless, sometimes, she is cool. I attended a marriage (in Swat), in which she was invited as a singer. It was 2002 then. At that time she was a little girl. I wonder how quickly she grew up.

She is from Swat. She seems to have some rivalry with Ghazala Javed who is also from Swat.

I think she is a beautiful woman. She has a very good, rural type of voice.

Her videos are icky and annoying. Especially with those psychotic girls dancing around with a male that looks like.....meh...i wont say

yeah she has recently vowed not to have any dancers in her videos which she claims has been happening with out her consent( i find that pretty hard to believe since she is standing along those ....es so unless some one has her at gun point from behind the camera...), anyways, so instead of them, she will be looking after that responsibility too from now on. bravo...
i used to be a fan until she started selling crap in the name of music. there is no substance in her music. after listening to one song 2 times one would want to puke.
ghezala was the next big thing for me until i saw her leaked videos. (i am sure we all know what i mean by that..) though i don't blame her for her past, it just makes me sad to watch her so i refuse to.
now there is this new kid by the name of DIL RAJ MASHOMA. she must be 13 or something. i saw a video from one of her concerts in dubai and nearly puked. there were men handing over money to her and whatnot. where is the pashtunwali and ghairat of those men? heck, where are the taliban?!

You are absolutely right Laila. You see a lot of crap in songs released from Pukhtunkhwa....Most of the time, it is rubblish. I think the reason is, Pakhtunkhwa Pukhtuns are such a conservative lot that girls and boys from good/educated families don't get into the field of music. So it is left to traditional "kasabgars".

Oh I like her too.
My favorite is Sheen Asmaan Zare Zaree.We danced a lot on the song in my sister's wedding.A non-attan song but great for madness in the end.
The Bollywood actresses seems to be enjoying the Pashto beat a lot!

I'm not surprised, many of your Parsiwan brothers take Indian, Arab, Turk or Iranian porn/scandals, rename them as "Pashtun porn", and propagate them over the internets. These videos then cause many naive Pukhtoon heartaches who spend countless hours on YouTube debating whether those girls are really Pukhtoon or not. Poor them.

I'm not aware of the enmity between the two, but one thing I fail to understand is ... why don't they support each other, KNOWING that they have so many enemies (or at least Pashtuns who can't stand their songs and music videos almost all the time)? What's with some women and competing all the time? I find this happening too much. Support each other, respect each other, stand up for each other so you can succeed.

Nazia Iqbal is embarrassing, just like some of our other female singers are. That includes Ghazala Javed. But I like Ghazala's voice sometimes. I liked her until I saw this one video in which this male is sitting in her house right next to her in a bed, asking her to talk so he can record it :| Like what the hell! What is WRONG with some men?! And what's wrong with her for letting that happen?

I like Wagma's voice because it's unique, but I don't find it all that musical. I don't watch her videos because of that one girl who can't act or model and her face is SO light (make up, of course) but her neck and hands are screaming dark. Clearly, we need make-up artists, too!
