that was not fooling, that was being embarrassing. embarrassing for a guy his age to stand there and take it and retarded on every one elses part for standing there and laughing like a bunch of beghairats. do actual pakhtoons really do shyt like this back home?

da Zahro Jam (bowl overfull of poizen), this is bad but this happens in some colleges when students go from school to colleges. my posting it here was not for enjoyment but for opinion of viewers....by the ways, although this is abused the paratice probably originally aimed at ending the shyness of new students in colleges.Comment

Fooling is an interesting activity for senior students in Peshawar Colleges whereas a paiful experience for newly admitted first year students. New students are made to do and utter odd things. When I took admission in college in first year I along with my room mate were room-confined for the first two days and didn't go to college for classes for fear of fooling by senior students. We would only come out of our rooms during lunch when all students will be in the dinning hall. This thing is still on in Peshawar colleges. There is a need to put an end to it. But then some people argue, fooling ends shyness in newly-admitted students.

This kind of thing is called "ragging" in Indian collages. It was pretty common in Engineering and Medical schools. Various dares and tasks were given by seniors to their juniors. It was supposed to increase interaction between the junior and senior students. Help juniors to get over their inhibitions. It was almost a ritual of initiation that every new students had to participate in.
However, in rare cases; the new students were asked to do extreme dares by their seniors. There were some deaths.
