The only Qataghani I ever dance to is Hamelaket ba Gardan.. And I'm not gonna lie, I spin while dancing that. But that only because he speficially says "Allah tu Charkhe bezan dami Saaze Qataghan" <3
ha ha ha! that song is a good song though, i love it. I have to say, Qataghani is one of my favorite dances, but it hurts your feet after a while.

Yeah, it's a nice song... but I honestly didn't know you weren't supposed to spin in it. It makes sense tho, there is no one point in the melody that would call for a spin haha
Hmm.. My favorite dance (after Attan which I don' really consider a dance lol) is probably Logari or Qarsak. Fun stuff. =)

Daa zma lewanay Zrra gorah, daa sta lewanee Mina..

Shadow Caster, I think it is a misunderstanding.
What Samima was implying was that there were Tajiks along side Pashtuns proudly performing Attan.

              that was for samima
So from that comment, what made you think she was Tajik?

Oh yes! and your body just goes with the flow of the music. And you do not stop until the music stops

Then when the party is over, all the women come up to you, and smooches on you and tells your mom to spand you the very next morning. Then the next thing you know, those very same women are at your doorstep lol

I think it is so nice to have different cultures represented in the world. I have taught children in the west about culture and geography of different lands, always with a bit of language, music as well as a bit of food from the country. We need to all broaden our horizons and that of generations to come.

                          Lovely dancing, by the way!

so isn't like not dancing in front of random people part of pashtunwali and stuff like that?

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

no one does wrong with out justifying it first. i am a backward person and i very much like that part of my culture as my culture is not based solely on easy stuff like shorwa.
