I just watched Kandahar Break and it was terrible. It's set in 1999 and a British de-miner gets intimately involved with an Afghan woman and when their affair is found out she is kidnapped and taken to be stoned to death but that guy comes to rescue her and ends up a fugative,

It was made by the British. I am still in disbelief that they would make a story with this kind of absurd plot (an Afghan woman working as an interpreter having a romance with a married British guy).
