idiot, there is no proof at at all that pactyans are pashtuns, the simple reason is that pashtuns totally follow a different culture from indics (Buddhists.HIndus), Pactyans were probably Buddhists/Hindus if they were part of Gandhara, Pashtuns clearly came from outside this region and only settled here

While the Hindkowans of walled city of Peshawar, have actually nothing to do with Gandhara civilization of Peshawar vale. They are descendants of various settlers (traders, camp followers of Mughals etc) from India (including Punjab) and Central Asia in the Peshawar city/fort when it was under Mughal rule. They were confined to the fort of Peshawar and were people of no significance. Mughals recognized the Khalils, Mohmands and Daudzais settled outside the fort, as masters of Peshawar and therefore they have only mentioned chieftains of these tribes (who were called 'Arbabs' by Mughals) in their documents. Peshawar was manged through these Pashtun Arbabs, not Hindkowans. Mughals were also stationed in Kohat town thats why you will also find Hindokwan population in nowadays Kohat city.

Sikh rule in early 19th century brought fresh immigrants from Punjab (Muslims as well as Sikhs) which became part of the 'Pishori' community. Many more came to Peshawar from India (including Punjab) during British raj.
Not every one can be absorbed so easily , yes some of the indic looking pashtuns are probably the descendants of Gandhara, however Hinkowans have lived in that region for centuries, they have much more claim to Gandhara then pashtuns do

Partition didnt affect demographics of peshawar very much at all but the few who left only came during british raj and the demographics now represent how they were before the colonial period. Its not one of those sob stories about how the 'native' hindus or whatever were forced out of 'their land' because of partition like in lahore.

        How do you know?

Right, so Hans Zimmer and Olaf Caroe are equal to "no proof".

BTW, before they became Muslims, yes Pashtuns were other pagan/buddhist religions. This goes without saying. You expect Muslims in BC era, long before Islam was revealed?

Why don't give us your insight and tell us where Pashtun homelands were?

it literally says on his wiki page that he is from a punjabi background not hindkowan, lots of punjabis settled in peshawar during british period. On top of that i dont think hindkowans are hindu and have names like vinnod or kishanchand lol (or at least not for the last few centuries anyways)

Dausa, uss de rana angrezi am herr shwa sa? Daasay aasan khabara banday am na ye poy? Jerking off kandahar = praising it/claiming it is the center of Pashtuns in the universe. It's very basic English. Unless you actually thought there was some physical jerking off of kandahar that would happen.

Peshawar city was a hindko city during British rule, but the countryside was inhabited by pashtuns for centuries, even before Babar invaded India.
