I watched plenty of you tube, and combed prospecting forums, and other websites. I was interested in a hobby that keeps me outdoors and moving. Which depending on the route you take (Panning, metal detecting, dredging, etc.) each has it's own benefits. I prefer dredging as I'm in the water keeping cool instead of sweating hacking away at a mountain or digging... Plus with the war still going on... how many explosives do you think people are going to bury in the river vs everywhere else?
The research on the "where" was probably the most boring part... but luckily the Russians, US, and China all have done surveys at some point in time to give me a good idea of where to look and poke around...I am a "Gold Digger" as they say... I've been doing this way before it became such a hot topic on you tube. But now I wish I would have hopped on the bandwagon and started my own you tube videos before it was so competitive.I am a "Gold Digger" as they say... Most of my friends have read the books, and know a great deal of detail on the characters. Much more detail than I would of course. I have not had the opportunity to read the books as of yet.
