Wearing the headscarve.. 'Girls get the courage not to wear it'.. pur-lease.

I respect how she hasn't forgotten about Afghanistan, but when you look at her, you don't see anything Afghan.

And how how exactly is a talk show going to be of any help, put your money to good use, for real charitable causes, not to increase fame.

What is being 'Afghan'? Define 'Afghan-ness'.
Secondly, if someone or some group or a school of thought can actively propagate or spread or encourage the wearing of 'headscarves', another person/group/school of thought has the equal right to discourage the practice.

I, also, respect her for not forgetting our watan but like Guley mentioned, she should bring tranquility to Afghanistan by doing charitable work since that is what's needed greatly rather than entertainment for the 10% of the population that can afford to watch it.

                  Afghan-ess = nothing she represents.

Well yeah, she can encourage anything she wants, she could even encourage stripping, doesn't mean it'll benefit these girls though, does it.

                  Notice the difference:

I don't hate her, neither do I wish anything ill upon her. I just don't think she represents the true beauty of Afghan culture. She doesn't do the strong, proud women of Afghanistan justice.

every time this buffoon talks she goes into the same shtick about what savages people in Afg are, oh woe is she, Afghans are so this and so that, so backwards and so threatening, except for her of course

she is enlightened and she will show all the rest of us the light

why can’t buffoons like this ever say anything positive about Afghan people?

they know instinctively that westerners love to hear about what backward savages non europeans are and they give the westerners what they want with their exaggerated griping

she has to pretend that everyone is threatening to kill her so she can seem a lot more important than she is, as if there aren’t any more pressing matters than this landaghar and her canadian style outfits

incidentally why do americans have to liken everything to something in their own culture just to understand it? what makes this woman anything like oprah?

these poor people, they live in the richest society on earth but they’re relatively simple people, they have no grasp on anything unless it can be likened to their own culture lol
