No duhh they were speaking gibberish! Why do you have to stereotype Pashtuns like this? osama bin laden was Arab, not afghan, so south park would make racist jokes about Arabs and other middle easterners.

And if you don't speak pashto, then what are you? are you even pashtun?

that was not gibberish. that was a very heavy accented irani farsi and i highly doubt that they needed pashtoons for that episode. where did you come up with that piece of information ??

If you don't know your language, what for these pride themes when you have no connection to your culture?

Not every pashtun speaks pashto yo.

Non-pashto speaking pashtuns include Pashais, some Baloch/Brahui tribes, some adopted Dari as their mother tongue (persian speaking pashtuns), some speak hindko (a punjabi dialect), some speak standard Punjabi, some speak Urdu, and by now, few can only speak English!

Pashayis, Some Baloch/Brahuis and Hindkowans practice pashtun culture...

Pashto isn't the language of PAshtuns, it is actually the language of Zoroaster, derived from an ancient tounge called Avestan .

Lol Pashto isn't the language of the pashtuns? Then smart one what exactly did pashtuns speak before than, huh? Lol there is no good proof that pashto actually comes from avestan. Pashto is more related to bactrian than anything Mr. english speaking Pashtun.

Bactrian and Avestan belong to the "Eastern" Iranian language family, and Pashtuns were a different people from Bactrians.

Read Greek History, Bactrians were a different people who lived North of the warlike tribe called the Pactyans. Bactrians are ancestors of Pamiri people, not Pashtuns. Bactrians lived north of the hindu kush, and PAshtuns always lived south of the Hindukush.

Sadly you are wrong as always. Avestan is related to old Persian, NOT Pashto. The closest language to Pashto is Bactrian. And pamiri people are descendants of the sodighans like Tajiks, not Bactrians. Pashtuns don't only come from Pactyans.

Go to linguistic entries, Pashto does come from avestan, Pashto and Avestan are "eastern Iranian". Old Persian and old Kurdish are "western Iranian", so Persian and Kurdish split off into a western branch before Avestan was written.
