What kinds of advertisements aimed at kids, though? Not all that I've seen are bad ... but then again, I don't watch TV, so I wouldn't know. The ones on the internet, ALL are bad; kids shouldn't be on the internet at all.

Better you teach them about what those advertisements are and why they are wrong...They are going to learn that stuff when they go out anyways and if they see it outside there won't be anyone to tell them if it's wrong or right..so instead of blocking stuff out, show them the world but under your wings and guidance so they can tell right from wrong ..they are going to learn it anyways, better they get the proper teaching from you than others, that helps them gain confidence and develop a sense responsibility

Also by doing that your kids are more likely to approach you about stuff they don't understand, it kinda builds a connection more friendlier than parenting and it helps them too because they know they have someone to go to for everything
