Immortal Technique (rapper from NY) had built an orphanage in Kabul a few years ago. I finally got in contact with him via facebook....damn it took freaking forever, i had to convince him of who i was lol.....anyways he gave me the info of visiting his orphanage, so i am going to make sure to do that =)

When i went to his concert over here, it was the best night. Not only was I able to meet him in person, but i got to know his real self =)

I am glad you asked =) He is not really how you see him on stage when he is performing. He is actually more soft spoken, at times he uses big words lol, he listens very closely, like he seriously gives you all his attention (which to me means alot coming from a 'celebrity') he has so much respect towards Afghans, when i introduced myself to him, he just gave me this huge smile, and we had a good solid chat for at least 10 minutes. Usually you dont see him smile, but he does lol.

He is actually bigger in person :D

Wow, really? Didn't realise he went global. I also used to like Shadia Mansour, who was in the remixed pali track, she's not bad, she's even opened for dudes Busta Rhymes.

He actually seems like a cool guy, make sure you introduce me to him one day. I appreciate a person who has respect for everybody. How tall is he?

Yes, when underground rappers come up with the sickest track regarding politics.....i can highly assure that individual will become famous Lowkey was like underground, no one really knew him. He started off with mixtapes just like other rappers. And it is really cool that he is Arab and he comes up with good track regarding politics worldwide. If i am not mistaken, he lives in London, right?

Shadia Mansour, i havent heard her that much, well at least by herself. She is a very pretty girl though. And she became the first Arab female in Arabic Hip Hop, gotta give her credit

Same, I don't listen to it much either, I just remember the song, and well my bro still plays all his stuff in the car. I'm not a big rap fan though, never had a specific genre.

And ye that's the original version which made him big.

Lowkey's half white, and ye he lives in London. They did a second version to that pali song which is what was officially relased, got to the charts as well. He even donated some of the money he got from it to Filasteen.

Ye, she is good, but becuase of what her lyrics about she doesn't get as much exposure, if you know what I mean. Political rappers aren't made a bigger deal of, as compared to the typical American gangster rapper.
