  • The Innocence of Childhood

Just a little vid that made me smile.

We can get so lost in our political discussions that at times we forget the main victims of these conflicts.

Kids will be kids no matter what wars ravage their homeland, no matter the fact that they are being blown to bits by all sides.

They do not care for your politics. They just want to have fun.
Reminds me of my own cousins.

    Filmed in Wardag.

for how long?? they are all headed towards the same gutter. contrary forms of happiness are nothing but deception. specially when you don't know the price that it comes by.

I think we are talking about children and children don't know about deception and fraud. They are maasoom.

they will soon turn in to little devils of various types. that is if they don't die before that. see if you can find pleasure in that while you watch them be innocent and harmless.

hahaha You are right. The same innocent children turn to be devils when they grow up. But it all depends on their environment. Environment influence them. They learn from their parents, teachers, friends, everyone and everything around them. It depends what influence them good or bad.

by the time children reach the age of being influenced by the good or bad, they are no longer innocent because they have started understanding the value of making choices. something they are not familiar with as a child. and then the game begins.

True and the test begins not the game lol.
The real test which is hard to pass but if one stand consistent and patient then he is most probably the one will get through.
May Allah give us that patient and perseverance and the reward as well

Everyone was once innocent & simple minded as a kid.

This thread is simply looking at one example of this to bring everyone away, if only for a minute or two, from all the frankly negative & perhaps to some depressing discussions and realities of life, to just appreciate how they may have once been.

                      This
is our future. This is what everyone claims to be defending. Those kids are oblivious to all the petty conflicts fought supposedly on their behalf.

Most of those kids will probably eventually end up living a hard life which is a tragedy but for the time being, to them atleast, it doesn't matter. We see their futures as bleak but that is not how they see themselves. That is what I like about it.

I guess you could say one envies these children for what they have and wish that perhaps one day, a similar sort of happiness or 'innocence' can be achieved even as we leave childhood.

That's my interpretation at least. You are free to come to your own conclusions.
