I am sure that you do not need reminding that it is Ramadan.
During Ramadan we as Muslims have a duty to seek knowledge and spend our time contructively by praying extra rakats, reciting the Qu'ran, going to the mosque more often and learning about Islam.

This is not the month of time-wasting. Listening to music, aimlessly browsing the internet & watching romantic/action movies is not constructive in the above sense.

However I am sure we have the urge still to listen to some sort of music. For that you have a wide selection here: http://www.pashtunforums.com/religio...asheeds-16383/

I am sure that you may also want to pass the time by watching movies.
For that you have this thread.

Here, post any film or movie that concerns Islam.

The only rule is that it must not insult Islam or Islamic values such as depicting Muhammad (saw).

Hopefully this will increase our knowledge of Islam.
For that it is of course better that we read the Qu'ran and listen to the scholars since these films will never be 100% accurate. The only source of information that is 100% accurate is the Qu'ran.

That being said, this is also a fun and stimulating way to learn.
Share with us any film that concerns any of the past prophets, share with us any film that concerns Muslims working in favour of Islam and share with us any film that concerns Islam in general.

One film that I just finished watching is The Message. It was made in 1976 and has only this year been uploaded to youtube (as far as I am aware).
It is 3 hours long. It concerns the story of Muhammad (saw) and his followers from when he was meditating in the cave to when they returned to Mecca.
It includes the Hijra, the battles of Badr & Uhud as well as the conversions of Khalid Ibn Walid and Abu Sufyan. Muhammad (saw) is not depicted and neither are any of his daughters, the Caliphs or his son-in law.

You can watch the full version here:

Or you can watch a slightly higher quality version that is divided into 13
    parts here:

Any posting that violates the rule set out above will be removed.

i was going to mention this film once i saw this thread. i heard it was funded by gaddafi?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

What a paradox! How a film can be Islamic when the so called hadith clearly prohibit pictures, photos and drawings. How can a film be Islamic if the picture there is haram?

For God sake every thing cannot be Islamic or un Islamic. Only beliefs, worship and morality can be Islamic while any other object out of these 3 spheres are neither Islamic or un- Islamic.

I see so that's why there is no Umar, Abubakr or Uthman (RA) in the film... I'm glad

Why do we need fornicators, adulterers, alcoholics and non-Muslims to tell our history to us in a movie? We have great authentic books and scholars.

^ I believe the movie was made for the intention of non-muslims that don't read the authentic books or listen to scholars I suppose.

From morocco to indonesia non-muslims accepted Islam without the need for theatre plays where nonmuslims alcoholics and fornicators would represent noble and righteous characters.
