i made an observation that synched, because i work with indians and pakistanis and so many claim afghan or iranian origins. of course i smile.

i guess you are right, it doesn't matter.

BTW Feroz Khan was cool in Qurbani.

they are not pashtuns in my eyes, they can't even speak Pashto and have nothing to do with pashto culture, they are indians now.
please don't call them pashtuns. manana

not just that they are humiliation for the very name Pukhtun.

i dont understand the people who are proud of such shady characters.

No need to apologize bro, I know it was a simple mistake, just found it funny.

Tbh i'm not really that into bollywood culture, just not my thing, 'each to their own' as they say.

my point is many claim half afghan or other, and bring out an ancestoral link from two or three generations back, either from iran or afghanistan. this is very common amongst pakistnis and india muslims. one missing link generations back is no claim to ancestry.

say three generations (to great grand parents), that's 14 ancestors. if one is from iran or afghanistan and remaining 13 are indians, what does that make you?

it's not like that afghan gene will pop up and you will do attan instead of bangra or pelvic thrust bollywood move.
Actually his mother is Parsi, of Iranian lineage. Cant be called Iranian proper.

Same with Boman Irani. He's a Parsi too. Many Parsis came to India to escape the religious persecution when Arabs conquered Persia and their names signify the linkage. They are a small well-knit community mostly based in Western India, is now struggling to keep its identity since its numbers are dwindling fast.
