^ to me kashmiri sounds pretty different from punjabi, urdu, hindi etc...

though kashmiri is apprantly the closes language related to the original Sanskrit of the Rig Veda, it hasn't lost its orginality unlike other languages

^ i dont think it is Panjabi dialect, i understand punjabi and they sound nothing like each other. I am sure if i show the above song to punjabi guy he probably wont understand a word of it

true, but the native language of kashmiri is called (koshur) which is the song above

The actual Kashmiri Language is Dardic but most Kashmiris I know speak something like Panjabi called "Pahari".

that is actually the language of Azad kashmir, yes that language is basically very similar to punjabi, but the koshur language of kashmir valley is pretty different
