Lol, all these west coast cats are sweating Tupac. Biggie is not in Jay-Z league, do people here just like to listen to beats?

Who the hell are those clowns dissing Easy E? The dude created west coast rap, hustled his was for NWA, and created Dr. dre, and ice cube. He doesn't need to reply to small time clowns

These are the Artists in the Golden era of hip hop/rap--it was pretty much dominated by the west coast... it was the G Funt Era

      2pac
      Biggie
      Easy E
      Dr Dre
      Snoop Dogg
      Tha Dogg Pound
      NWA
      Nate Dogg
      Warren G
      Bone thugs..

There are more but these are the artists that are known by pretty much everyone who listens to rap... Chino XL, Nas and Jay Z were all small time rappers.. back then...the only reason they made it big is because.. artists like 2pac, biggie and easy e.'s. death.

There hasn't been a more brain dead genre in music than rap/hip-hop

Wow, your west coast bias to the core. Where was Hip-Hop created? NY. West coast only was good for a few years, before that East was good, after the west boom, east coast is still alive

the origin of rap, hip hop is the expression of oppressed people but some of the words are oppression of themselves and degredation of their women. i agree talal, in that sense.

HipHop might have been created in NY but the west coast perfected it and now you guys have ruined it all.. all that work.... they put into making great music. West Coast rap died pretty much with 2pac, but there are still some good artists but they don't get as much exposure...

Well, if you are in for it for money.... of course thats going to happen.. but listening to underground rappers, who are into it for the art and the culture.. you will begin to see the great side of it.. HipHop is a great genre.

NY killed hip hop? In the Mid 90's the west had over exaggerated rappers and rhymes, that it had to change it.

If anyone killed Hip Hop, it's the south.
