I love those pics but its deepy biased and ignorant, thers no balance so this thread is a serious concern, its on the borderline of being racist. i mean the dark skinned dark eyed people have been totaly ignored..are they not pashtun just because they dont have blonde hair?? wake up and stop fooling yourselfs. do you look down on them or something?? are they not worthy of a space on a massive picture archive?? are you ashamed of them even though pashtuns are asian you upload the european looking ones..astaghfirullah. any white person that has visited pashtun areas is probly looking at this thread and laughing thinking "wannabes".. besides to whos definition is having light skin and light eyes automatically mean beautiful??? naive,cringing and shameful people you are!

sometimes dark skin looks lighter in photos. i'm a whitey who has been to herat and kandahar and i don't think anything except that the photos are great.
the girl in the first photo is famous. that photo appeared on the front cover of 'national geographic' 30 or 40 years ago and a few years back someone traced her and there was an article and photos, again in national geo.Comment

Yea that girl is Sherbat Gula and that picture was taken in Peshawar, its a famous one.
I agree the Photos are great but not a true representation of the majority, since youve been to kandahar and herat youd probly say the same.----------

to be honest manzareh, i didn't see many women's faces and i don't remember that the people were darker skinned. it is a long time ago, 1977. before the russian invasion. i didn't go to kabul.
an indian friend and i had a photo taken together and he was really dark but in the photo he came out looking nearly as light as me.Comment
