nangrahar hawai dagar doesn't look as vague from inside as it does from outside. i have only seen it from outside.
the pakistani flag is supposed to represent the alliance with pakistan since nangrahar shares a border with them. they can't mark the border in the sky.

why isn't afghanistan flag on peshawar airport? or Quetta airport?

probably because peshawar's airport is farther away from the border.

The flag is there because parts of the airport was built by the government of Pakistan, the same goes with some of the main welcoming signs in to the city. But those flags have been removed, i'm amazed at how this one is still standing.

this is probably a very old photo then. i was amazed to see a traffic light in jilalabad about two years ago. unfortunately red means "go" there unlike every where else. i was depressed by a traffic light for days.
