To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
        own inclinations and desires

              • I saw a very beautiful Afghan girl near Hammersmith last week, she looked very cute in Hijab. I should have manned up and asked her where she lived!
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

                          • Why are women tattooed on the face, especially the three dots, what is the significance of this? I see it a lot on Pashtun women.

                            • ^ it is called sheenkhaley. Since majority of Pashtuns are from rural areas, village women do it on their forehead, cheeks, and chin. Its a cultural thing, I think it is beautiful.

so true. and there is one photo allegedly of nuristani children, and cited as pashtun children (all strawberry blonde), however the same picture appears elsewhere citing the children as those of the (norwegian?) photographer, who was in afghanistan in the 60s.

i am of the same opinion, pashtuns do have proportionally more green/blue eyes than, say panjabi or irani, but it is just a larger proportion.
