Thanks Gadoonwal for sharing the beautiful pictures. However one picture is of River Swat not Indus or Abaseen. I have done a lot of camping on Abaseen river in Kohistan, Kohat, Attock, Sindh etc.

Kushan please think over the word Daal(pulses) and read over its nutritional details and you will find it very useful and may admire Punjabis by eating more pulses than red meat which is highly dangerous to health.

Daal is pointless porridge that contains useless spices and leaves a bad body odour behind.

                    No thanks.

It is nothing to do with hinduism.

Than don't write the wrong thing, holy is something different than being pround or having history.

Abaseen is holy even in the religious or spiritual sense because Pashtuns were not Muslims 1400 years ago but both Pashtuns and Abaseen existed.

If you have a bit of knowledge of Pashto folklore you will find a lot of landai/misrey/tapey , charbetey, nimakai, sandarey, badaley etc where Abaseen has been mentioned and revered by the pre-Islam Pashtuns.

The then religion of Pashtuns was Pashto or Pashtunwali and Abaseen was a sacred and holy as well as romantic symbol, simile, metaphor, personification and a sign of beauty, grandeur, energy, flow, love and sublimity.
