I have been to Bannu many times and still have friends from Bannu, Domail and Karak. I have participated many times in the celebrations of Da Bannu Mazeegar, the afternoon of Bannu.
Do you have some pictures of those processions, dance, music etc?
Do those celebrations still continue?
Are Bannesi the people of Bannu still lively, vivacious and happy people? Or under the influence of Taliban and Islamism Pashtun culture, art and Pashtunwali is disappearing and the dry life style of Wahabis is prevailing?
i would like to sit there and drink some hot black tea
This is lamentable that after the introduction of Islamism and wrong application of the religion of Islam Pashtun women are restricted to bedroom and kitchen. They cannot enjoy sitting in public parks like men.
Before Islam or Islamism or still where religion is not applied that much Pashtun women can be seen at par with men.
