I have heard "Farsiban" from the mouths of Pashtuns. The term "Farsiwan" is same as "Hindkowan"....i think it means 'people of Farsi' and 'people of Hindko' respectively.Originally posted by Forreigner View PostFarsiwan, sometimes also Farsi or Farsi(za)ban means ''Persian speaker'' that is not Hazara, turkmen, uzbek etc. It's another name for Afghan Tajiks. Tajik is a name given to these peoples by Turks, which means ''non-Turks'' when Afghan parts of ancient Khorasan was conquered by Turkic forces.
I believe the word Farsiwan probably came to existence because Pasthuns cannot pronounce Farsizaban,so it became as Farsiwan. That's my personal theory. I remember back in Qandahar that was what Tajiks/Farsi speakers were refered to by Qandahari Pasthuns.
We have a Hindkowan here from Parachi clan, Toramana, he might explain to us the meaning of '-wan'

Has any DNA testing been done on Tajiks of Afghanistan?
How much mongoloid DNA they have?
Are they the same people as the Tajiks of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Tajiks of Xinjiang (China) the same people?Last edited by Forreigner; 11-08-2016, 02:07 PM.

That guy is probably Nuristani and very handsome...but Tajiks have their share of looks as well, and can come even lighter than this guy. I think this forum (either ignorantly or intentionally) tries to stereotype Tajiks as some Mongoloid Iranic hybrid which is not true...Originally posted by Kushan Prince View PostI always see the first man being passed as a tajik on numerous forums for some odd reason. Funny thing is, I have never seen a tajik person that has ever looked like that. Some Tajiks must be in a inferiority complex i guess.
These are some examples of Afghan Tajik looks:

I find Pashtuns and Nuristanis to be beautiful people, no doubt for me there, but I dont think Tajiks are lacking in looks department.
Overaall I must say people in this country are blessed with incredibly aesthetic looks.Last edited by Forreigner; 11-12-2016, 11:11 PM.

I am not saying that it is good or bad but...the people in the pictures you posted have clearly Central Asian/Mongoloid features. It is not an unfounded stereotype but reality with Afghan Tajiks.Originally posted by Forreigner View PostThat guy is probably Nuristani and very handsome...but Tajiks have their share of looks as well, and can come even lighter than this guy. Yeah your right...Tajiks do score some small amount East Asian on genetic charts...but it isn't as much showing as some people say on internet forums, what I meant by their Mongoloid influence being way exaggerated...lets just say Chinese or Japanese won't recognize them as their long lost brothers...they are 95-99% caucasoid.Originally posted by nary View PostI am not saying that it is good or bad but...the people in the pictures you posted have clearly Central Asian/Mongoloid features. People are quick to surmise about other's physical aspect and also their mental or ideological inclinations/dispositions. I say..... come over to any Pashtun town in Khyber, then and only then will they have the right to decide who's "whiter". It seems that these tajiks who so abhor the house slave mentality and trumpet its denigrating effects upon us are infact themselves most mired in this mentality. Seriously though .........Originally posted by Elite Pakhtun View PostMurra di thresd ke khalaq daasay khabaray kol chi de tajikaan derr "gora chikna" ao speen makhay di... ao de pakistani pakhtano bilkul punjabiyan pa shaanday shakal neewalay di.
