I doubt you have seen most punjabis, Punjabis are just like other north indians, no different, of course they would be lighter skinned than south indians on average, but most of the time north and south differences are exaggerated. No way they look like Armenians

Al hanif, flickr one is probably his account or some other nationalist, they keep posting lightest skinned Punjabis and the darkest south indians to show the difference, the reality is that average Punjabis are not that light, nor average south indians are that dark.

^ are you sure it was punjabis you saw? or were they pashtuns or baloch?

most punjabis are very similar to other north indian in looks, the men yes are probably a bit stronger/bigger since many of them come from farming communities, but looks wise they are very similar

Well, exactly, some of the Panjabis on your pic could be easily Armenian. We have different kind of peoples. The pictures you postet are of the clearer ones. We have many people from Panjab and other Indian areas that study in Armenia, and sometimes they mistake some of us for their landsmen.
