Dardic or Pashtun People migrated from the Kurgan region sharing culture and pre-Indo culture, hence their religion was not Indo or the term ascribed to their ancestry but I get what your saying since, the term Indo has been branded unceremoniously.

Nope they were pure dirty blondes.

Even some Nuristani guy added me on facebook (i wasn't stalking him, trust me!) and much Nuristanis look as very Pashtun-Tajik-Meditterean as you and i. Meaning that most nuristanis have gandumi rangoona, and thor hair. Same with Kalash, they only do propaganda just to fool you into believing that they have Greek or Macedonian ancestry. Infact 99% of their blonde hair turns brown when they become adults. Actually speciefic Pashtun tribes, Chitralis, Nuristanis and Kalashes who live in that area have the highest frequency of european looks though keep in mind they're still mostly gandumi. The Ismaili tajiks in Badakhshan, those people are way whiter they called them Alpine.
My grandma is half Nuristani and I assure you that side of my family can pass for your regular European (not that it really matters). They live very isolated and tend to only marry with themselves or the Pashtuns in the surroundings areas, therefore they mostly carry the recessive genes along – however, DNA tests prove they are indigenous and not descendants of Alexander, etc. The Pashtuns in the surroundings areas of that region are also lighter skinned. Of course, dark pigmented skin obviously exists there to. But on average, the Nuristanis and Pashtuns around that area in Afghanistan tend to be lighter.

If I have the time, I could scurry around and try to find some old pictures where I've got some images of my great grandma and her siblings – they're wearing their traditional clothes, it's quite interesting, and apart from their clothes and customs, they can pass for your regular Northern/Eastern European.

Of course, skintones of all type are beautiful. And Afghanistan is an interesting place mainly because we've got such a wide range of skin-tones and facial features. However, case in point, the Nuristanis are known for being light-skinned, though they obviously have many brunettes too – and their 'blondness' is a bit over-exaggerated. They obviously don't look like the Swedes!

2.There are certaintly some pashtun girls that look like that kalash girl. and look at Chitralis and Pashais, who are dardic speakers like Kalash and Nuristanis, heck Pashais or Kohistani speakers are DardicZabun Pashtuns !
Well, most blonde children regardless of where they're from (whether Europe or Asia) have darker hair when they grow up, as a human's pigmentation darkens with age. It's why a lot of biracial children are lightskinned when they're born but get some 'color' so to speak once they grow up. So turning into brunettes isn't just common in Central Asia.

I have a lot of natural blondes in my mom's family. I've yet to see a platinum blonde adult, though many of the little kids do have almost whitish hair at times... But dishwasher blondes aren't that uncommon. My mom was born blonde but she turned into a ginger (still is one) lol, she used to get teased for being a ginger and a 'parangai' all her life by the people in her family who oddly had green/blue eyes and light hair too.

Is Parangai a pronounciation for Farangy or farangyun? Frangy is another term for white people, or more so the northern europeans with blonde/red hair and blue eyes as opposed to southern europeans whom look like most afghans. so Afghans don't neccarily call white people safed or spin because Afghans are light enough to look like southern europeans (people like Italians or Spaniards), unlike Punjabi or Muhajirs who have to say "gora", I only heard Afghans using the literal term "white" by Yusufzais who were of pretty dark complexion and embraced nationhood with pakistan and it's predominantly indic population. Obviously the Southern european look is the majority in Afghans-Pashtuns, Persians, Turks, Berber-Arab etc. but not the Nordic look, and Farangy means the Nordic looking whites. Nordic looks are like 10%, Medditerean or Gandumi/Southern european look is like 70% and as dark as Punjabi/indian look is like 20%. Just because of factors like Christianity vs Islam, ignorant people assume all Europeans are blonde hair and blue eyed, thinking that black hair and brown eyes are supreme, when so much of southern Europe has black/brown hair and brown eyes.

It's because of hatred between nations. They say Kalash people are blonde, greek and all that stuff because they're non-muslim, and i showed a picture of a bunch of greeks to my mother and she expected farangy looking people , but instead she said that all the greeks looked like middle-easterners. As i said, the medditerean race, in Loy Afghanistan (including Pakistani Pashtuns), it's more like 80% medditerean (from southern europe to dissipating into the north indian regions), 15% Indian (Afghans looking like Punjabi speakers or Indian speakers ) and 5% Nordic. Due to hatred for muslims, people forget that the majority of South Italy, Iberia (spain/portugal), Greece and some Balkan areas are medditerean too, but it's just cause they're christan they're saved.

Yes, parangai/parangi is the same thing as farangai/farangi, but due to Pashto being absent of the letter (f) or (fe), the word should be pronounced as parangai/parangi in actuality. Although, a lot of Pashtuns use the (f) variation of it orally due to Farsi's influence where the letter (f) is present.

'Spin' is never used by Pashtuns to refer to 'White' people. Parangai has actually nothing to do with one's skin tone. Parangi/Parangai means stranger or foreigner. During the Anglo-Afghan war, when the English fought with the Afghans, the word 'Parangi/Parangai' was used to refer to them. Today it's used as a taunt to Afghans who look very Nordic or like the English. So it's not a compliment.

There are a lot of African Christians. People just tend to equate Europeans with light skin because most Europeans are obviously lighter than people in the rest of the world due to various genetic and environmental factors. Anyway, It doesn't really matter by the end of the day. It's just skin, lol. And I've never heard of people ignoring the fact that Greeks are Mediterranean. I live in a Greek area and the Greeks here consider themselves Mediterranean, and closer culturally to other Mediterranean people like the Iranians/Turks/Arabs than Northern Europeans. I remember going to school and my Greek classmate was surprised when someone called him 'White' lol. Of course, here in Canada white is equated with the hockey playing, beer drinking, average Canadian.

Here is another one the Pakistanis like to brag about, 'Swat state is little Switzerland' BS!!!!!

                        WHY THE EUROPEAN HANGUP?

Why not 'some europeans look like us', why the big reference to Europeans???, and if you really must compare then 'the alps are mini-Swat', infact, alps, rockies, are all diminutive to koh-i-baba, hindukush, karakoram and the mighty himalya(sic) in height and majesty.
Why complexes with Europe? I have been to both Swat and Switzerland. Except the areas beyond kalam , Utrorh, Osho almost all the mountains of Swat are now without trees. Deforestation is a big issue there. People are cutting fine pine trees like grass. Swat river is becoming a dirty canal.

Himalayas in Nepal which I had visited few years back are really majestic but your K2 is now a desert as no tourist can go there becaus eof terrorism and sectarian violence in Gilgit.
Hindokush in Afghanistan do not have any plan for tourism. No facilities at all. Law and order is understood.

While Switzerland is a living paradise on earth. All facilities for tourism. nature intact and beauty everywhere. No harm in following them as model.

Well you are right that the locals are cutting the trees like grass. govt is not interested in improving the tourist sites. people go to behrain, kalam, othror, osho etc but they dont have access or dont know about those areas that are untouched yet and their beauty is still alive. There exist the real beauyy of nature.

Deforestation is not the issue debated. It is the fixation with European looks and blue or green eyes.

However you guys have raised a serious issue: deforestation is ruining our land, infact it is far worse in Brazil.
Back to afghanistan; nuristan, kunarr and paktia southwards also suffering heavy logging and timber theft. The wardens are complicit. It is a shame.

Amanullah Khan also drained all the natural wetlands in the North of the country to eliminate cholera, and open vast tracks of wilderness to Kochees and immigrants.

Afghanistan once had a vast array of fauna. I just can't picture Afghanistan in the past with vast grasslands, seasonal lakes, and alpine forests teaming with Bears, wild aurochs, hippos, cheetahs, lions, Rhino's, Hyrcanian tigers, Eurasian and Indian wolves, herds of gazelle, wild horses, asses, boars, and seasonal rivers and lakes teaming with migratory birds engorging on snowtrout. Would have been a sight to see!
