Actually, they are the same race. Nuristanis are Kalash people who converted to Islam.

So what if they (ours) look like random europeans?
Here is another one the Pakistanis like to brag about, 'Swat state is little Switzerland' BS!!!!!

              WHY THE EUROPEAN HANGUP?

Why not 'some europeans look like us', why the big reference to Europeans???, and if you really must compare then 'the alps are mini-Swat', infact, alps, rockies, are all diminutive to koh-i-baba, hindukush, karakoram and the mighty himalya(sic) in height and majesty.

I think it's mostly the Punjabis who have a 'European looking people are more beautiful' ideology. A Punjabi girl I knew pretended that her grandmother was an Afghan Pashtun who had green eyes. But judging from her skin tone and facial features, there was nothing Pashtun about her...It's a sad, sad world...

you cant judge a pashtun by skin tone.
pashtuns can be dark and also white and in between.

Then why are Pashtuns always characterized as pale skin and blue/green eyes? It must happen mostly in Pakistan. Historically, Eastern Pakistanis that have Indian roots changed their second names to 'Khan' or different Muslim names to hide their Hindu ancestry. The sindhis and punjabies who have Baloch ancestry changed their surname to Baloch but have no clue that Balochistan exits in west Pak.
If I can't define a Pashtun based on skin tone then how can I recognise them? I know a Pashtun girl from Peshawar who can't speak a word of Pashtun despite coming from a heavy Pashtun background. Her parents brought her up speaking Urdu and I tried to engage a conversation with an Afghan Pashtun to ask about the traditional dress. Her reply was 'Oh, we just call it an anarkali'.
But these are only a minority. The rest of the Pashtuns that I know are well educated about their culture.

                        those are stereotypes.

majority of Pashtuns actually have mostly meditarinian look.

                        this is also pashtun

From the pics and real life I would say most pashtuns are (Mediterranean), ^ the really dark one like that is probably just tanned because of the (sun), if he stays out of the sun he will probably become lighter

Indian skintone on the other hand is naturally very dark, some north indians/pakistanis that live in the cities are lighter because of mixing with outsiders and less time in the sun, but the real south asians are all darkskinned, you just have to go to interior punjab/sindh to find that out

unfortunately it is true that most south asians hate their own dark skin, I think the same is true for africans. The concept of beauty world wide is "white" or fair skinned

thankfully, afghans don't discriminate based on darkness of skin color. this is mostly an attitude that is a relic of european imperialism which afghans didn't experience unlike our indian neighbors and others.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Unfortunately, this is the way media has portrayed beauty for centuries. Just look at Bollywood, the Iranian film industry and even the Pakistani industry. There isn't a single dark face and most of the actors seem to have perfect Caucasian features. This is very distressing for other people such as Africans, who I think, can be very beautiful if people would just realise.
