  • Pashto Calligraphy

Calligraphy continues to draw interest as a specialised visual art form across the Muslim world. I've seen important examples in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and Turkish, but rarely in Pashto. Here are some contemporary prints in Pashto calligraphy from a set commissioned to mark 2009 UN Peace Day. Impressive, both in art and message.

    I really like...Calligraphy.

    Did you...this ?
I believe the sun should never set upon an argument.
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness.

I found it on the net so linked to it here. Spread the word!

On the point of calligraphy we need many more of a fine examples. A gallery would be good I think.

An even better idea would be to bring together Artists from both side of the border, Give them an a platform to share their art work and engage with each other as Artists and enable them to present their work to the international community.

We have talented people but they might as well not even exist since know one except from their immediate surrounding are aware of their talent.

That of course requires investment in time which most of us lack now days.
