This is a very good anti-Muslim/Islamic/Quran documentary.

ironically, these treasures are neither afghan (as in made by modern day afgs) or islamic.

going to kabul museum, i was more intrigued by the islamic pieces such as the large stone block from kandahar with quranic inscriptions more than i was by the nuristani stick figures.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I noticed that their was parts about treasures from Greeks. Are you serious, Greeks? It's like having ISAF treasures as a part of Afghan history.

in the west they have celebrations for new sidewalks opening. people steal from other countries and mark it as their own. in afghanistan people go through hell to preserve something that has been dug out of it's own soil and it's instantly disclaimed. it has nothing to do with religion. if you don't appreciate something you can't love or protect it.
greek or whatever..there is a story behind why and when it was burried in afghanistan of all the places. that story is a treasure of it's own.
i hate people who bring religion in to everything. "here is my badge of stupidity.. where would you like for me yo hang it.."?

The documentary brought religion to it, hmmm about every 5 minutes. You could hang stupidity in your room. Or place it as a bumper sticker in your car.

i went to a museum exibit on the "afghan treasures" in san francisco. and it was all either greek or indian influenced, besides being dug up in afghanistan, there was nothing afghan about it. don't get me wrong, they were very impressive works of art but to attach the name "afghan" to it is pretty ridiculous. they are as afghan as an ancient native american spear is modern american.

It doesn't inspire one to bother about the religion thing, infact it gives you an insight into a human civilization in particular age. It causes curiosity in the masses and hence atteract them for a close look, gear up tourism. I mean tourism, a source of jobs, income and foreign exchange. Mr. DZJ is right.... it is not to be related with religion..... rather to be preserved for the people who are willing to pay for quenching their curiosity.

and this clearly is idol worship.
