The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

yes, I know! I had this funny comic I found once. I will have to see if I can find it again. It showed a timeline of the wars in Afghanistan and the result. So it explained the cause of each one, and the same end result for them all:

Stop trying to spread this non sense about Pashtuns.
Pashtuns are not the strongest people in the world, we are easily misled, abused and killed everywhere, we have mullahs who rule over us with an iron fist, we dont even treat our own fellow pashtuns equally, we behead our own and blow up our own infrastructure, but cry for non pashtuns to be released by america, We are easily bought by Agencies, who in turn use us to do suicide bombings on our own people. We are one of the worlds under developed region due to war and internal fighting, Pashtuns are also divided by a line called the durrand line, and yet no strong leader has imerged within the Pashtun ranks, We have a Taliban who sends jirgas to free Punjabi COl Imam and thier creaters but no such thing as protesting against the killings of pashtuns in karachi nor the torture of pashtuns in Punjab.
Our people are IDP's and yet no strong protest has ever been made as why we are IDP's. We get our homes blown up by fighter jets, when money is made, all of a sudden Pashtuns are all happy.
All this talk of graveyard of empires non sense, we didnt defeat the British at all, we actually sold ourselves to them and accepted the durrand line to be drawn, not only this, we were used very badly to lure the soviets into Afghanistan to please some Jewish/American bankers.
We have killed ourselves for the last 40 years and we ourselves have brutally murdered our intellectual community to suit our livestyles with desert bedion Arabs of Arabia.
Not just this, we the so called empire defeaters, can not even control our own people, we fight over stupid things like bribes and land, Pashtuns would kill their own fellow tribesmen but when it comes to a Punjabi businessman, he will proudly guard his gate.
We sold ourselves so badly to Arabs, that we are now a cheap labour in Arabian countries and even our own citizens get video taped and tortured by Dubai Sheiks.
This is the state of Pashtuns.

Well,
I know what's going on. But I am just not a negative person. Of course if there is a war, even the stronger ones will become weak, be hurt, killed, etc. I know not every Pashtun is perfect. My best friends brother was shot in the face and killed in Afghanistan by a Pashtun, and he was over there to bring food to children. But I am not talking about war, I am not talking about that at all. I am talking about Pashtun's personality, attitude. Maybe you don't agree with me, but every Pashtun I have ever known or done research on, they are strong, they stand up for who they are, and they protect their people. Of course that doesn't apply to every single Pashtun. But it does apply to a large majority. You can't possibly tell me your kind is weak and gives up. They fight wars to the death even when they're dirt poor and have nothing to fight back with. They'll fight with their bare hands if it means protecting their people. Maybe its hard for you to see...but from and outsiders perspective...that's what I see.

How are we free? when there is a border called the durrand line that divides us, you have on one side the Afghan pashtun who loves his/her Dari and was deceived by the British, then you have on the other side, the Pakistani Pashtun, who loves his/her Jinnah and considers Afghans as Immigrants, and chooses Urdu as his/her first language and considers it more educated then Pukhto/Pushto.
This is the reality that must be shown, not these ramboo style movies and speeches.
Pashtun can not even get his own rights on his/her language let alone defeat empires.

Pashtun means, to speak Pushto, to deal with issues related to pashtuns as a whole, to have one identity being pashtun, and to guard the mountains who threaten our livehood,traditions and culture.

These are the times of jahiliya, our dear Prophet(SAW) had already foretold this would come. There is corruption, deception and betrayal in every race and ethnic group. There is nothing we can do about that, times are only going to get worse now..best thing we can do is to strengthen our imaan and try our best to educate and help our people who need it. Not bombarding posts and gunning pakistan left right and center..You are only going to hurt people for no reason..this is ONLINE, there is no point in doing this. Masha allah you have a good heart and your intentions are sincere of our dear pakhtuns..you have an advantage seeing as your from waziristan. You have a major opportunity to earn money and gain education to help them
