I was just curious to know whether we have any art lovers here or not?

I love arts specially paintings of Vincent van Gogh ( a famous painter )

This is his last piece of art. you should google the life story of this person and after that you will fall in love with this picture
Its called the stary night where vincent said : The earth didnt love me or embrace me, Now i want to check the sky and go to stars... lets see what do they say

Here is another piece by Greek (Gold Rhyton - Athens)

This is actually a big glass or cup. The Greeks used to pour wine in it and before moving to war they would take a sip from it. When you pick it up and want to drink from it, the lion head covers all ur face and your head disappears so it looks like you have a lion head. while drinking the liquid from this jar the Greeks used to think that we are drinking lion blood and now we are brave enough to fight our enemies.


Arts is an interesting subject and once you get into it, there is no way out of it.. Its just another world..

angaar, i was just talking to graveyardofempires, the other night about van gogh. the museum of his work is in amsterdam and i went there in the early 70's. i am an artist too, and i cried the whole time i was looking at van goghs paintings.
years later i found out that there is actually a book about paintings having this effect on people, so i am not so crazy, after all.hahaha...

Vencine van gosh was an upset person. All his life he loved people but people didnt love him
His story made me cry too. This world is cruel

I think we got some copies of his work in SF museum. First let me go there and if God willing i come to europe then I wil for sure visit amsterdam

Angaar lala, if you go to Monterey Bay.......you will not be disappointed. Their art galleries throughout the whole city is beautiful.
