some basic info about colour that i like is: hot to cold.
hot colour is red, warm is yellow, cold is blue. (the 3 prime colours)
warm colours are oranges, pinks, yellows.
cool colours are greens and pale blues and mauves.
purple is made from blue and red, mix of cold and hot.
green is blue and yellow; cold and warm.
when contrasting colours against each other, i bear in mind these ideas. for example, if you have a blue/green scene, then add a red, yellow or orange thing, it will stand out.
red and white are both eye attracters. if you add a red object it is best to be balanced out by a similar colour elsewhere on the picture or in the middle. depends where you mainly want the eye to be directed.
white brings things forward, black and dark colours tend to make things retreat.
hope that makes sense to you.
Thank you for your input, yet i dislike mostly to colour my peintures because,if the colours later doesn't satisfy me (less care of the viewers) i will (maybe) destroy it lol.
I have thought about selling them to some artgalleries-

I drew this a few months ago when I saw my writing pen & scrap paper (hence the numbers & scribbles). I have never been encouraged to do artwork, that was the first time I tried something since I was a kid. Pleased with how it turned out considering it was only done out of boredom.
I wonder if anyone knows what it is or where its from.

I love those women in the background with their tiny little umbrellas. Was it from a picture or did you just paint it from imagination??
The woman in the front shouldn't have been included in this picture though.
Faye how come I am not allowed to view your profile??
i took the photos at a festival where people were dressed up. the 2 in the background are actually men in drag, on stilts, lol.
i had the inspiration to do the icebergs and then decided to put these characters in.
my wall should be accessible, so not sure???????
Thanks for the compliment/advice. It means much coming from someone so talented as yourself.

Those are really beautiful paintings, Faye. I took some Art courses, and I wish I could paint as decently as you! I might put some of my artwork up. Don't laugh :3! Haha.
