It is a difficult question to answer brother. Depends which region you live in, sect you belong to. In general no matter sect or region people live in hardship but it gets better and better. Personally I am not a supporter of this government as most Iraqi's. As most Arab governments they are extremely bad an corruption is skyhigh.

But it's a very big question to answer. Maybe this blog will give you a little bigger picture but again it's such a huge question. If you ask x he will tell you yes, if you ask y he will tell you no. This is a OK blog about Iraq written by an American.
