Most of the PF users here don’t understand your point of view, because they’re too afraid to step out of the box and see things through someone else’s eyes, and you can’t really blame them. From childhood they’ve been taught to turn a blind eye to anything that seems to be against Islam. But, I think you should be gentler and more refined in the way you choose you words when communicating your views to them.

I personally believe the state should be separate from religion. For example, we can look at Turkey, it was and still is a predominantly Muslim country, and it’s a secular country. It’s working out just fine.

But again, there's things that the West and Europeans countries have done that have been wrong, and so have Asian countries. We can look at the mistakes of both sides, and learn from them.
