Congratulations for returning back to school!! All the cool people have their laptops in class, but the iPad is real light and I carry it when I go to school. Typing long passages will be a pain, so you would probably want to buy a keyboard with it. All in all buying the iPad is a big purchase (cost a pretty penny), don't buy on impulse.
