the people in the picture are protected from outsiders due to them getting diseases when connecting with them previously. a lot of the hotels there, are owned and run by muslims and the head of the 'tourism for the andamans' was a muslim woman,she and her entourage stayed where i was and i got to ask lots of questions, chat and eat with them. snorkelling was great. not the best i have seen, but since i was there in 2008, a lot of the coral has died due to warmer than normal water, for 2 years in a row and the prices have skyrocketed. once again, my timing was good.
