years ago i read a book, RAW FOOD DIET, i think it was called. the guy was a fanatic but he did many years of study and travelled to visit countries to interview some of the oldest people in the worls etc. he claimed that wholefoods break themselves down, within the body and the body does not have to do so much work. that fresh foods and wholegrains still have lifeforce within them. he was very inspirational and that encouraged me to try it, but with a cooked food upbringing it is difficult to stick to it. he went to hunza wgere some of the oldies were over 100. one guy was 125. he introduced the apricot oil to the west and warned that they only make enough oil to last a couple of days at a time and oils go off quickly. cold pressed oil is recommended and always keep oil cool.
