  • Of course I DO ADMIT that I was wrong when I brought up the point about the Galapagos finches being different species which do not interbreed. That´s what I had learned at school and I thought that they are distinct different specied by now.
(My ego is not attached to science and I do admit when I was wrong!)

The fact that only 1- 3 % of the different species do interbreed is a strong hint that given the time needed, these morhpological species would become real ones.

And the paper does not speculate about the process of speciation!
The paper DOES NOT question that speciation does occur of enough time is given (macro evolution).
    The only constant is change.
