sorry, forgot to answer that. 70s, my dear. the good old days. i arrived in 1970. probaly in manchester 72/73. i went round europe for a while then back to england then across to india via turkey, iran, afghanistan and pakistan. great trip. oh, yeah, i then spent 2 years in india and 9 months in nepal before flying back to australia. 11 years away, all told.
