yeah, the sharks are mostly reef sharks, black tip or white tip but there are others around. last time i went snorkelling i saw something, looked like a big fish in the distance, went to swim towrds it and it swam away and i saw that it was a shark. in shallow water it is a bit spooky but if they are wimming past in deeper water it is not so unnerving. have caught some on the fishing line. aalways throw them back.
the island is beautiful. went for a bus trip early this morning and it was so nice to see the beaches, the hills and all the greenery. magnetic island, queensland. maybe u can google for pics or google earth for an overview. hows the magnolias?
