You got a lot of pressure in your line of work. Don't know how you docs deal with. That trop test measures some enzyme/or is protein in blood right? Cheat pains can be decieving. Could be anything lung embolism etc.
Lucky you did those tests. You saved that guys life. Rewarding job but soo stressful.
